InterContinental Moorea

Any travel agent can issue a ticket or book a cruise . . .
We create Travel Experiences . . . that extra effort is our hallmark!

We stayed four nights at the InterContinental Resort and Spa in Moorea.  The hotel was honored by Conde Nast Traveler's 2004 and 2005 Gold List as one of the "World's Best Places to Stay" and in 2004 was also listed as one of Conde Nast Traveler's Top Ten Spas in Australia-South Pacific.  It was ranked Number 1 for the South Pacific.  The resort is a tropical paradise with two restaurants, a bar, two tennis courts, pool and a kid's club.  It is home to Dolphin Quest, the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Centre and Helene's Spa.

The resort has 142 accomodations - 48  lanai rooms in the main hotel building, 16 garden bungalows, 28 beach bungalows and 50 overwater bungalows.  Right:  the main building.

The lagoons are full of fish and snorkeling is a lot of fun.

Sunsets can be spectacular on Moorea.

The beach bungalows.

The marina area.   "Bathy's" is the dive shop and there is also a tattoo hut right on the beach.    People take the chairs and sit in the lagoon.  Photo by Christian.

The InterContinental Resort is home to Dolphin Quest.  To see how members of our group enjoyed playing with the dolphins, click above on the Dolphin Quest link.   For many this was one of the highlights of the tour! Overwater bungalows are in the background.  The back portion of them sit on the land and the front portion is on stilts in the lagoon.  You have a ladder on your balcony you climb down to snorkel in the lagoon.

The garden bungalow.  The only difference between the garden and the  beach  bungalows is where they are located on the resort. Since 2014, garden bungalows have plunge pools!
