Sunday, January 30th: Our group arrived at Tom Bradley terminal at Los Angeles International Airport. After checking in, we waited for Air Tahiti Nui, the only international Polynesian airline.  The flight left at 1 p.m. and we arrived in Tahiti at 8 p.m. - it's only an 8 hour flight from Los Angeles. The flight to Tahiti is only 2 1/2 hours longer than the flight to Hawaii but it's a world of difference!

Here comes Air Tahiti Nui! The airline of  Polynesia.  Your trip to Tahiti begins the minute you get on the plane!

After flying for 8 hours, we landed at Faa'a International Airport in Tahiti. Heinui's family from Moorea was there to greet us and to meet Didi for the first time.

Didi's childhood friend, Maire, was  there to surprise her best friend!

Didi & Heinui met on Moorea during the 2002 Insider's Tour and were married in California later that same year!  They were remarried during this tour in a Tahitian ceremony on Moorea with both families and our group attending.

After a traditional lei greeting, we waited to be transferred to our hotel, the InterContinental Beachcomber Tahiti.
