Located on the island of Vanua Levu, Savusavu is an agricultural town of 5,000 people and is Vanua Levu's main port.  The Savusavu airport is located here and all flights going into Taveuni will stop here first.   The area used to have lots of coconut plantations and the villages still supply coconut to a local coconut oil mill.
