Insider 2002

The fourth "Insider's Tour to Tahiti" is now history. Fourteen people met in Los Angeles on January 16, 2006 and boarded a night flight to Tahiti on Air Tahiti Nui, arriving at Faaa airport in the early, early hours of the 17th. The group returned on January 26th. Once again we were led by Dierdra McElroy, a well-known quilter who specializes in the Tahitian quilt known as "tifaifai", and her Tahitian husband, Henui Hanere. Didi was, as always, a wonderful guide, recalling her life growing up in Tahiti and introducing the group to a side of Tahiti that tourists rarely see. 	Connie and Mary Anne arrive at the Faa'a airport. Heinui's family from Moorea greeted us at the airport in the traditional Tahitian manner. They made all the beautiful flower leis for our group.
