Surfers Paradise is the main town on the Gold Coast Highway, which is the main road connecting beachside towns with the beach.

The Gold Coast is a great stop on your Australian vacation with your kids.  The beaches and the amusement parks are where the Australians go to play. Located 52 miles  south of Brisbane, this is Australia's Miami  Beach, Orlando and Los Angeles and the area has something for everyone.   We can help you plan the perfect family vacation to Australia so everyone is happy.  In September 2009, we drove the Gold Coast and visited Wildlife Currimbin Sanctuary and stayed at Palazzo Versace.   There are many fun places for the kids.  Among them are Dreamworld, Australian Outback, Movie World, Sea World,
Wet n' Wild and Aussie Farm Tours.

Besides surfing, you can also go swimming, fishing, play golf and go boating.  There are over 35 beaches in this area, which stretch over 19 miles and are patrolled by professional lifeguards.

Shopping is another big activity on the Gold Coast.  Above is the Harbour Town Shopping Centre and there are lots of other shopping venues along the Gold Coast.  You can shop till you drop!

Conrad Jupiters Hotel and Casino at Broadbeach.  This is where Mom and Dad can play after they exhaust the kids all day at the many family activities along the Gold Coast.

The Gold Coast also has two national parks.  Above and right:  Lamington National Park.
