Beaune

Beaune is a wonderful medieval town with a great market and the historic Hospices de Beaune (Hotel Dieux) which was founded in 1443 as a hospital to provide free care for the soliders who had fought in the Hundred Year's War.  Beaune is sometimes considered the wine capital of Burgundy because it is at the heart of the region's vineyards, with the Cote de Nuits to the north and the Cote de Beaune to the south.

A whole building of nothing but cheeses!
