Creating memories...one vacation at a time!

Nadi (pronounced Nan-dee) is located on Viti Levu, the largest island of Fiji,  and is Fiji’s third largest town with a mixed population of 32,000.  It is a bustling city with many shops selling everything from souvenirs to clothing.  It has a handicraft market, a public market and is noted for its Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple. Outside of Nadi is Raymond’s Burr’s Orchid farm, called Garden of the Sleeping Giant.

PACIFIC HARBOR, SUVA & NAVUA

Pacific Harbor and Suva are on the east coast of Fiji, an area that is greener and more lush than the Western side of Fiji.  Pacific Harbor was developed as a condo development with meandering drives and canals and has its own 18-hole championship golf course and inland waterway where owners of luxury villas moor their pleasure craft.  It also has a cultural center, the Fijian Cultural Centre & Marketplace.

Suva is the largest city in Fiji (168,000 people) and is the cultural, commercial, educational and governmental center of the South Pacific Islands.  It is the home to the University of South Pacific, the Forum Secretariat and many overseas embassies and is a major port and the capital of the Fiji Islands.  It has high-rise buildings, modern technology yet continues to preserve the traditions and pace of Fijian life.  Suva is located on the east coast of Fiji and is 2 hours, 45 minutes from Nadi.  Pacific Harbour is a 45-minute drive to Suva.

The Navua River area

The Navua is an agricultural area that is a 20-minute ride from Suva is on the banks of the large Navua River.  Upriver there are beautiful gorges and waterfalls.  Many tour companies take you on tours of this area.

One of the best experiences is to go river rafting - Fiji style.  You travel downstream on a bilibili raft (a bamboo raft tied together with a handful of vines).  The rafts carry about 12 people.  Your river journey begins upstream and as you float back down, the Navua River passes through some of the most spectacular rain forest on Viti Levu.    You can also visit the Navua River Village on another tour.
