Kim and Joe are going to be married on July 5 at Sattui Winery in the Napa Valley.   They are then going to Australia for two weeks and will be spending three nights in Sydney, three nights at Green Island Resort off the coast of Queensland outside of Cairns and then they will spend another 4 nights in Cairns, Queensland.  Below are some photos of what they wil be doing when they are in Australia. KIM & JOE'S HONEYMOON IN AUSTRALIA
SYDNEY & THE BLUE MOUNTAINS

Kim and Joe will fly to Australia from Los Angeles.  Fourteen and a half hours later they will arrive in Sydney where they will stay for three nights.  While there they will stay in the Rocks area where Sydney was first founded.  It's an area of cobblestone streets, pubs, art galleries, hotels and restaurants.     

Their first day in Sydney, they will head to Circular Quay and will  take a luncheon cruise on the Sydney Harbour and then they will take a highlights tour of Sydney.  Part of the tour is going to  Bondi Beach, one of the famous beaches that Sydney is known for.  

They will also explore Darling Harbour.

One day they willl take a day trip to the Blue Mountains outside of Sydney where they will gaze at the Three Sisters (above). 

GREEN ISLAND RESORT, QUEENSLAND, ON THE GREAT BARRIER REEF

On the way back they will stop at a wildlife park outside of Sydney and will become acquainted with some of Australia's strange animals.  They will hand feed kangaroos and wallabies, watch the koalas napping in the trees while they have their picture taken standing next to them and will have other a close encounter with some of Austalia's other interesting animals.  

Then they will take a 3-hour flight to Cairns in Queensland, where they will board a catamarran that will take them to Green Island Resort for a three-night stay.

Here are some of the activities that they can do while at the resort.  They can do a glass bottom boat tour, go snorkeling, go on guided rainforest walks,  feed fish,  play volleyball, go windsurfing, take a helicopter ride over the Great Barrier reef or explore the reef in the world's oldest underwater observatory.   

 Green Island Resort is a coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef .  It is home to over 120 species of native plants, colorful bird and marine life and is surrounded by beautiful coral gardens.    Green Island is the only coral cay which is a national park in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park with a rainforest.  Kim and Joe will stay here for three nights. 

When they return from Green Island they will stay in Cairns for 4 nights. One day they will go to Kuranda, a little town outside of Cairns in the rainforest which is famous for its markets.  They will glide above the rainforest canopy on the Skyrail Cableway, the world's only rainforest cableway.  They will spend time Kuranda is famous for its markets.

CAIRNS, QUEENSLAND, KURANDA & TJAPUKAI CULTURAL PARK

They will return from Kuranda on the Kuranda Scenic Railway which will pass over 40 bridges and go through 15 tunnels.

The rest of their afternoon will be spent at Tjapukai Cultural Park where they will learn all about the culture of the Aborigines.  

DAINTREE & CAPE TRIBULATION

Another day will be spent in the Daintree Rainforest and the Cape Tribulation area outside of Cairns.   This is a World Heritage area and is the world's oldest rainforest with over 3,000 species of reptiles, insects, frogs and different animals.  

They will cruise the Daintree River and will be on the outlook for crocs.

Right: One of the unusual birds they might see in the rainforest is the cassowary.  

They will explore Cape Tribulation Beach and wil go to the Daintree Discovery Centre and walk admist the rainforest on aerial boardwalks (right).  

CAIRNS

They will have a whole day in Cairns and can explore the Cairns Night Markets and go to the Cairns Zoo and have their photos taken holding a koala. Or they can walk along the Esplanade,  go to the Royal Flying Doctor Service and learn all about this unique service to the people in the Outback or they can do some last minute shopping.   If they want to feast on kangaroo, emu, or crocodile they can go to the Red Ochre Grill and get a real taste of an Australian Barbie!
