Dining Around Tahoe Basin

This group loves to eat and try new restaurants. Here are some photos of our dining experiences that week.

Wonderful breakfasts were prepared by Nancy. Alot of products from Trader Joe's were tasted and discussed that week over the dining room table!

We dined at Cottonwoods in Truckee the first night and liked it so much we went back.  Their Creme Brulee is to die for!   Plus when we arrived the moon was shining and highlighting the snow.  That wasn't too bad either!

Another evening was spent at River Ranch dining in front of their wonderful fireplace.   The mussels were wonderful and we got the chef to give us his secret recipe!   We even had one of the other diners give us money to buy ourselves  another bottle of wine because s we were having so much fun together!

We brought our own wine and our waiter told us that if we could get the cork out of the bottle using only what was on the table, he would not charge us a corkage fee.   Susie rose to the challenge and figured out how to do it.

Success! And a corkage fee was saved!

Our final dinner took place at OB's in downtown Truckee. This is a very funky place and unfortunately, they were not doing Kaoroke that night as we would have all sung our hearts out.  But it was not to be. So we had to be satisfied with a wonderful french onion soup.

We bid a fond adieu to one another and promised to meet again very, very soon.
