Skip & Ros cruised from San Juan, P.R. on Carnival's Fascination and visited St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Dominica, Martinique, and Barbados. Skip's great-great-great-great
grandfather came from Barbados. He was an infamous pirate by the name of Sam Lord and he would attract cargo ships by putting out lanterns and then the ships would crash on the rocks. Then he and his
men would loot the ships from England, Portugal, Spain and France and that's how he made his fortune.
This is the same Sam Lord of Sam Lord's castle in Barbados. Eventually he was beheaded in England for his piracy. So for Skip and Ros Barbados was very special because they got to see where their dysfunctional great-great-great-great grandfather came from!
