 Porta Maggiore has seven streets merging here and two trolley lines plus a lot of aqueducts.   This is a photo of one of the sections of the aqueduct which had two aqueducts (the holes in the bright white stonework).  It is hard to believe that engineering was so advanced at that time in history.
