The evening begins when the villagers share kava with the passengers. Anyone interested in sampling this herb drink, sits on the floor in front of the kava bowl and is taught that they must clap three times,
then the kava cup is offered to them, they drink the kava all at once and then hand back the cup and then clap once. After the kava ceremony, the villagers began to sing, their voices filling the Yasawa Dining
Room. After the singing, the lovo meal is served (traditional Fijian foods cooked in an underground oven) and after the meal, the villagers come into the audience and invite anyone who is interested to dance
the Fijian shuffle.
