February 3rd, Sunday:
The group met at the restaurant at the Beachcomber Tahiti Inter-Continental and had a wonderful buffet breakfast. During the breakfast, Didi told them about her life in Tahiti and how she and her mother learned to create Tifaifais from their nanny when they lived in Paea. She showed the group the Tifaifais that she has collected through the years. Didi lectures at workshops in the United States and overseas on the Tifaifai and Tahiti and below are photos of her lecture and pictures of the quilts that she brought with her to share with the group.
