Renowned for its French-Norman architecture, the Lafayette Park Hotel features French antiques, art, tapestries and sculptures and combines California comfort with European elegance. Reminiscent of the classical inns
of Europe, the rooms surround separate courtyards. The first grand courtyard boasts a hand-carved Italian limestone obelisk fountain (upper left) and in the second courtyard there is a stone wishing well.

The 140 guest rooms have European-style duvet bed coverings, custom-made, cherrywood desks and armoires, and Italian granite baths with plush terry robes. Some of the rooms
have wood-burning fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, and parlor areas. All rooms have spa amenities, CD Players, iron and ironing boards and the rooms range in size from 460 square feet.

The hotel also has the The Duck Club Restaurant which is highly acclaimed for its duck specialties and innovative, regional American cuisine (below left). It has been awarded
the "Best Restaurant in the East Bay" for two years and is a AAA Four-Diamond restaurant. The bartender at the Duck Club has been awarded the award for mixing the "Best Martini" for the past two years.
There is also a Bistro at the Park, which has great food, beers, wines and cocktails (below).
